Hi Steve, Gisela and Baby Hussey! I decided it was time for me to write my letter, now that more people have actually written theirs! I love reading everyone's letters, and I hope you do too. It's also fun to see everyone's birthdate and name guesses.
We are doing well here, except that is has been raining almost non-stop for the past week or two. The lake and river levels are way up with flooding in many areas. So, what this means for us is that all our landscaping plans have been put on hold. So, we have a beautiful big mud mess in front of our house. Actually, Ryan and his crew were here yesterday and today putting the concrete on top of the new garage (is colored and stamped to look like rock/slate). So, we hope to get a lot done before we leave for North Carolina on Memorial Day or the day after. If you remember, we are going there for a week for Todd's cousin Brad's wedding, and all three of our kids are in the wedding. I have Rebecca's flower girl dress and the boys black suits are being hemmed this week. They will all LOOK great, I just hope they all BEHAVE great! It will be SOOOOOOOOO cute if they do it well.
I am reminiscing about this time for me when I was pregnant with Alex. It's such a peaceful, reflective time when you don't have any other children distracting you from it! However, it can also seem ENDLESS with no other children distracting you from it! You are beautiful pregnant, judging from the pictures you sent, and I know you will both be such wonderful parents to little Billy Bob :) Ok, that's not really my name guess. I guess that Gisela will deliver on June 24 at 5:05pm, and his name will be Nathan. (However, pay more attention to Mom's guesses - she was PSYCHIC with Rebecca, you know).
Dad came to Erik's school this morning to give his "doctor" talk, and he did a really nice job. All the kids were very attentive, and although Erik was quite shy, I think he was very proud his Papa was there in the spotlight. I hope he can get to Alex's class next year. Mom is going to Alex's class to talk about nursing tomorrow morning, so it has been fun! They both did this for Savanna's class, so I got the idea to have them come to Erik and Alex's. Maybe when you are in town, one of you can talk to their class about being veterinarians????
Take good care and enjoy all the letters people are (finally) sending in!
Love, Kate
